Financial Services Representative (In Training)

About the role

Start a career in financial services with a firm that trains you from day one. This role is for people who do not hold a licence yet and want to build their own client practice in life insurance and investments.

You learn the work step by step: licensing, product knowledge, client conversations and running your own book of clients. A licensed mentor works with you until you are ready to meet clients on your own.

This is a commission-based role. There is no base salary. You are paid on the business you place with clients, so your income grows as your skills and client base grow.

What you will do

• Complete the LLQP and/or CIFC courses and exams with our study plan and support
• Learn how life insurance, living benefits, savings and investment products work
• Join weekly training sessions and practice client conversations
• Sit in on client meetings with a licensed mentor before leading your own
• Help individuals and families understand their financial needs and options
• Keep accurate notes and follow our compliance steps for every client

Requirements and qualifications

• The legal age and status to work in Canada
• Willing to complete the LLQP and CIFC courses and pass the provincial licensing exams
• Able to pass the background check (required for licensing)

What you bring

• A real interest in personal finance and in helping people make sound decisions
• The discipline to study and keep a steady routine
• Clear, honest communication in person and on virtual calls
• Comfortable with a commission-based income while you build your client base

Good to have

• Experience in customer service, sales, banking or any client-facing role
• A second language is an asset
• College or university studies in business, finance or a related field

Pay

Commission based, no base salary. You earn commission on the business you place with clients. The full plan is explained in your first conversation.
